    Product feature
    1. How should you choose your karate uniform?
Karate is a so-called "percussive" combat sport. Unlike judo, you do not grab your opponent's uniform (except in self defence). This is why the uniform should be light with a generous cut to enhance freedom of movement.
    2. What size should you choose for a child?
The size of your child will determine the size of the uniform (from 110 cm to 150 cm). In keeping with tradition, the uniforms are made from cotton and have a natural tendency to shrink a few centimetres during the first three washes. This is why we recommend choosing a uniform which is 5 cm to 10 cm bigger than your child. For example, if your child is 133 cm, chose a 140 cm uniform.
    3. What size should you choose for an adult?
Your height will determine the size of your uniform (from 160 cm to 200 cm). In keeping with tradition, the uniforms are made from cotton and have a natural tendency to shrink a few centimetres during the first three washes. This is why we recommend choosing a uniform which is at least 5 cm bigger than your normal size. For example, if you are 174 cm, chose a 180 cm uniform.
    4. How should you choose a uniform for a child?
A child who is new to karate should choose a 100% cotton, twill fabric uniform (190 g/sqm), which is both soft and lightweight. A karateka who has been doing karate for two years (yellow or orange belt) or who is beginning to compete, should choose a ribbed cloth uniform. Its polyester/cotton composition (240 g/sqm) helps prevent excessive shrinking and dries quickly.
    5. How should you choose a uniform for an adult?
A karate novice should choose a soft and lightweight uniform that is also durable thanks to its ribbed knit. A karateka who practises competitive kata (simulated combat without an opponent) should choose a very durable uniform with a thicker, "snappy" fabric.
    6. The benefits of judo
Karate increases concentration and teaches children to channel their energy. The various techniques used require the muscles of the entire body. Karate improves balance, endurance and coordination. Head gear and a mouth guard are recommended when practising karate.
