    1. Use temperature:
We label all of our sleeping bags with a "comfort temperature" which is tested by an independent laboratory (AITEX) in accordance with European standard EN 13537 of 11/04/2002. The "comfort temperature" is the lower temperature limit at which the user feels comfortable overall - neither hot nor cold - while lying in a relaxed position (temperature based on an average woman under normal conditions of use). Choose your sleeping bag accordingly.
    2. What are the temperature "limits" at which it can be used?
Comfort limit temperature: the minimum temperature at which a user feels comfortable - neither hot nor cold - while huddled up in the sleeping bag (based on an average male under normal conditions of use).
    3. However, here's what you need to know about these temperatures:
A sleeping bag does not produce any heat. Rather, it retains the heat produced by the body. If you are tired and cold and you slip inside a cold, damp sleeping bag, you are likely to feel cold no matter how good your bag! These temperatures depend on a person's ability to withstand cold (build, fatigue, etc.), his equipment (insulating mattress, etc.), the way he is dressed (if he is naked, wearing underwear, etc.), and weather conditions (damp, wind, etc.).
    4. Tips to ensure greater comfort, before getting into your bag:
Don't overdress (1 layer of clothes is enough). Keep your extremities warm: hats, gloves, socks, bed warmers, rubbing, etc. A flask filled with hot water can be used as a hot water bottle (as long as there's no chance of it opening accidentally!) Contract your muscles (70% of the energy you consume is converted to heat) but avoid moving in a way that could cause a draught. Use a sleeping bag liner, ideally in silk.
    5. Maintenance tips
1- Washing: Synthetic cycle, 30°C, with little detergent. Add 3 tennis balls in the machine during the wash cycle to puff up the down - Do not dry clean. 2- Rinsing: rinse several times (at least twice). 3- Drying: tumble-dryer recommended, synthetic programme with 3 tennis balls to puff up the down. Can be dried flat, pat out the down to puff it up. Do not place on a radiator.
    6. Composition
Inner fabric: 100% polyamide. Outer fabric: 100% polyamide and wadding: 100% 90/10 duck down. Cuins (inflating power): 660. Total weight (feathers): M=490g / L=560g / XL=640 g. The down is a natural insulator that will degrade wash after wash. Your bag is designed to be washed up to 3 to 4 times during it's lifespan. Using a sleeping bag liner will improve the hygiene and lifespan of your bag.
    7. A score for comparing products' environmental impact
The product's environmental impacts are calculated across its entire life cycle using various indicators. An overall ABCDE score is attributed to help you more readily identify the products with the best environemental performance by comparing the same type of product (T-shirts, trousers, backpacks, etc.) Decathlon is committed to visually displaying environmental information.
